Artron Laboratories Inc. is a Canadian developer and manufacturer of rapid diagnostic tests based on lateral flow immunoassay technology. We develop innovative in vitro diagnostic (IVD) products for global markets, including infectious diseases, fertility, women’s health, and point-of-care testing applications.
We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our R&D team. The successful candidate will support laboratory activities related to cell culture, antibody development, and immunoassay testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist scientists in the development and optimization of lateral flow immunoassay
- Perform routine mammalian cell culture, including cell maintenance, expansion, freezing, and recovery.
- Perform ELISA and other routine immunoassay testing.
- Prepare media, buffers, reagents, and laboratory materials.
- Monitor cell growth, morphology, viability, and contamination.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and experimental documentation.
- Support antibody development activities, including cell fusion, clone screening, cloning/re-cloning, and cell line maintenance.
- Assist scientists with general R&D laboratory activities as required.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field.
- Hands-on laboratory experience with mammalian cell culture.
- Experience with ELISA or other immunoassay techniques.
- Good aseptic technique and basic laboratory skills.
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with hybridoma culture, cell fusion, cloning/recloning, or monoclonal antibody development is an asset but not required.

Compensation: $23–$32 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
Pay: $23.00-$32.00 per hour
