Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Residential Townhome - Site Foreman to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in construction management software, blueprint reading, and schematics, with proven supervising experience. This role involves ensuring quality control, managing budgets, and maintaining safety standards to deliver projects on time and within scope. The Townhome Development - Site Foreman will play a pivotal role in leading teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to project specifications and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled carpentry work (formwork, framing, finishing)
- Supervise daily on-site activities for a multi-style townhome development
- Oversee assigned areas of work across multiple units (at the direction of the Site Superintendent)
- Work with the Site Superintendent to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications for different unit styles to assist with construction on multiple work fronts
- Plan and sequence work assigned by the Site Superintendent efficiently, to maintain production flow between trades
- Maintain and direct staff to keep a safe, clean, and organized job site at all times
- Perform regular quality control inspections and inform the superintendent of findings.
- Assist with tracking materials and deliveries
- Enforce company safety policies and site procedures
Requirements
- Journeyperson Carpenter or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of residential construction sequencing
- Proven experience as a foreman, lead hand, is considered an asset
- Experience with townhomes, multi-unit, or repetitive residential builds is also asset
- Ability to manage multiple people on different work fronts simultaneously
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills is preferred
- High attention to detail and consistency across workfronts
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Safety certifications (First Aid, Fall Protection, WHMIS) considered an asset
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31.00-$36.00 per hour
