As Team Leader you will report to the Manager of Enterprise Information Services (EIS) within Medavie’s IT Business Services area. Leveraging your strong leadership and relationship management skills and leaning on your Microsoft BI Tools and business experience; you will play a key role in the delivery of business intelligence solutions through collaboration with business, IT and a team of Business Intelligence Analysts. You will support our Business Intelligence Center of Excellence through working closely with your business and IT peers.
Lead a team of Business Intelligence Analysts to successfully plan and deliver report and data solutions to Medavie’s internal and external partners through understanding our business, actively supporting our corporate initiatives, and effective resource planning.
Ensure that Business Intelligence governance standards and best practices are followed in all deliverables within your responsibility, be a champion of these standards within your team and throughout our organization, and support our Business Intelligence strategies including business self-serve through each key delivery.
Ensure Business Intelligence Analysts have what they need to deliver on commitments; providing coaching, direction, and expertise as required.
Establish and maintain strong relationships. Build positive and productive working relationships, and a proactive approach to meeting our Business Intelligence reporting, data and dashboard needs.
Effectively engage, collaborate, and mentor your team through cooperation, commitment, and strategic thinking with a focus on continually capability building within the BIA team and within our busines intelligence network.
Proactively identify and assess areas of opportunity to build the value BI governance can deliver to the organization through reports and dashboards.
Ensure a culture of continuous improvement to identify and implement gains or efficiencies for your team. Use your analytical and BI tooling skills to interpret data and generate insights and actions.
A professional confident communicator and natural people leader with Data Warehouse and Microsoft BI tooling experience
Strong planning and strategic thinking skills with ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
Strategic Thinking: High attention to detail, using logic and good judgment in decision making for when different situations and skills may call for different approaches

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business or related field and/or equivalent experience.
Work Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of successfully leading a team of engaged technical individuals preferably in a Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence environment.
