We are looking for caring, compassionate, and dependable individuals to join our team as Wheelchair Accessible Van Drivers.
This position is about much more than simply driving. Our clients rely on us to provide safe, respectful, comfortable, and reliable transportation to medical appointments, treatments, care facilities, family visits, and other important destinations.
We are looking for individuals who genuinely enjoy helping others and understand the importance of treating every client with patience, dignity, kindness, and respect.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport clients using wheelchair accessible vehicles
- Assist clients entering and exiting the vehicle
- Safely secure wheelchairs and mobility devices
- Provide friendly, compassionate, and professional service
- Assist clients when additional support is needed
- Maintain communication with our dispatch team throughout the day
- Follow scheduled pickup and drop-off times as closely as possible
- Complete required trip documentation
- Perform basic vehicle safety checks
- Keep vehicles clean and presentable
- Follow company safety policies and procedures

- Physically capable of assisting clients and operating wheelchair equipment
- Able to communicate clearly with clients, families, healthcare staff, and dispatch
Requirements
- Valid driver's licence
- Clean or acceptable driver's abstract
- Criminal record check
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to safely assist clients and operate wheelchair securement equipment
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Transfer, Lift and Repositioning (TLR) certification
Applicants do not need to already hold First Aid/CPR or TLR certification at the time of application. However, successful candidates will be required to obtain these certifications as part of their employment.
Previous experience in healthcare, transportation, caregiving, or working with seniors is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.
