Job Summary
We are seeking experienced and dependable Steel Roofing and Shingle Installers to join our construction team. This role involves installing durable steel roofing and shingles on residential and commercial buildings, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, carpentry, and roofing, with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Duties
- Install steel roofing panels and shingles according to project specifications and blueprints
- Measure and cut materials accurately using hand tools and power tools
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials, equipment, and tools safely
- Apply caulking to seal joints and prevent leaks effectively
- Use hand tools such as hammers, drills, saws, and levels to complete installations
- Ensure all work meets safety regulations and quality standards
- Assist in site preparation, cleanup, and material staging as needed
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in roofing and construction
- Prior construction or handyman experience preferred
- Strong carpentry skills for framing, cutting, and fitting
- Experience with caulking techniques for weatherproofing joints
- Capable of heavy lifting to handle roofing materials safely
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to working at heights and on construction sites
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on quality workmanship
- Physical stamina for standing, climbing ladders, bending, and lifting throughout the workday
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
