A & L Canada Laboratories Inc. was formed in 1985 and consists of two analytical laboratories and sales representation located throughout North America.
A & L Canada Laboratory Inc. is currently seeking an organized, results-driven, high-energy, detailed-oriented, and committed individual for the London, Ontario facility.
Position: Chem Lab Tech
Location: London, Ontario
Work hours: Full-Time Permanent. Minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday thru to Friday. Overtime may be required to meet customer demands.
Salary: TBD. Benefits after 3 continuous months of employment.
***Not located on a bus route, must have own transportation.
Ensures correct methods and procedures to provide quality output and maintains its related accreditations;
Samples, tests, and evaluates components, raw materials and finished goods against both chemical and physical parameters using equipment such as LCMS, GCMS, wet chemistry techniques;
Controls sample integrity to ensure accuracy of analyzed routine samples by utilizing SOPs;
Writes protocols, SOPs, test methods and final reports as required;
Follows regulatory requirements and ensures quality standards are met;
Records accurate and complete routine data on work-up sheets to provide a complete legal history of the samples;
Able to troubleshoot instrumentation and analytical issues;
Maintains a clean lab environment to preserve the integrity of samples;
Models the Company Mission, Vision and Values Statements, policies, and current standard business practices;
Follow all company and legislative requirements;
Observes and supports all safety guidelines and regulations;
Practices prescribed safety methods to prevent injury and illness in the work place;
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in analytical chemistry, or similar technical program. Preferably work experience in a GMP/GLP laboratory;
Good knowledge and experience using analytical techniques and instrumentation such as LCMS, HPLC, GCMS, and wet chemistry techniques;
Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of analytical and separation techniques;
Ability to collect and understand data analysis and result interpretation and final reports as required;
Strong attention to detail;
Ensure quality work;
Possess a positive work ethic with team-based attitude;
Proven ability to work independently;
Ability to lift to 25 lbs.;
Willing to be flexible in job duties;
Excellent communication skills- written and verbal.
