We are an award-winning, women-owned manufacturer of allergen-friendly, plant-based foods supplying leading retailers across North America, including Whole Foods, Costco, Publix, Sprouts, Save-On-Foods and Loblaws.
Following our recent SQF Level 2 Certification, we're entering our next phase of growth with the implementation of a major capital production line, continued investment in automation, and a strong focus on operational excellence.
With a team of 50+ employees, we're looking for an experienced Plant Manager who is passionate about continuous improvement, operational excellence, people development, and building world-class manufacturing systems.
What You'll Do
- Lead daily manufacturing operations including production, maintenance, warehouse, shipping & receiving, sanitation, and purchasing.
- Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors, lead hands, and production teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement.
- Lead Lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiencies, and optimize production flow.
- Play a key leadership role in implementing and optimizing a major new capital production line.
- Partner with QA to maintain and continuously improve our SQF Food Safety Management System.
- Champion a culture of food safety, employee safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of leadership experience in food manufacturing.
- CPG food manufacturing experience is required.
- Proven success leading manufacturing teams and improving operational performance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Experience working in SQF, HACCP, or GFSI-certified facilities is highly desirable.
Experience in tofu, dairy, cheese, protein, prepared foods, or other high-care food manufacturing environments is considered an asset.
