Job summary
401 Trucksource is seeking individuals interested in the role of Parts Advisor to join our highly skilled and experienced team at our Chatham dealership. The Parts Advisor, under the direction of the Parts Manager, will primarily be responsible for providing parts related advice to both internal and external customers, ordering parts, handling incoming calls/e-mails and coordinating parts deliveries. Responsibilities
- Assist retail and service customers in selecting and purchasing the correct parts in a professional and friendly manner
- Provide price quotes, answer phone inquiries, and follow up with customers
- Review repair orders and shop estimates to ensure accurate parts ordering and pricing
- Pull, pick, and fill parts orders accurately and efficiently
- Monitor and follow up on backorders and special orders
- Maintain proper inventory levels, replenish stock daily, and notify management of shortages
- Source out-of-stock parts when necessary, including emergency orders
- Prepare orders for delivery, shipment, or customer pickup
- Maintain organized records of repair orders, invoices, and special orders
- Proactively contact assigned accounts to support sales growth
- Keep the parts department clean, organized, and efficient
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel and computer applications
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of automotive parts
- Excellent customer service skills
