Opportunity: Excavator Operator
Schedule: 14/7 working up to 12 hours per day.
Job Location: Fort McMurray- Suncor

Transportation:
Local Hires - Bussing to site available
Non-Local Hires - Reliable transportation is required. Employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from camp
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate excavators for excavation, trenching, ditching, loading, and backfilling activities.
- Excavate and move materials according to project requirements and specifications.
- Load trucks and support site preparation and earthworks operations.
- Work safely around underground utilities and existing infrastructure.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Follow all company, client, and site-specific safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with ground personnel and other operators.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and complete required operational documentation.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience on excavator
- Positive attitude and willing to take direction from supervision.
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and provide a 5-year driver's abstract that meets insurance requirements.
- Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test.
- Self-motivated, flexible and proactive with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- On-site experience is an asset.
- Strong safety culture.
- Must have basic computer skills to complete online orientations.
- Must have or be willing to obtain site-specific tickets
