Vorollo is recruiting on behalf of a confidential employer - a commercial fish processing and offloading facility located in Port Edward, BC (15-20 min from Prince Rupert).
This is a hybrid role for someone with OHS knowledge who is also comfortable getting their hands dirty on the plant floor.
What You'll Be Doing
OHS & Admin:
- Support safety training, maintain records and compliance documentation
- Submit and follow up on WCB / WorkSafeBC claims
- Assist with onboarding and HR administration
- Keep safety binders and spreadsheets up to date
General Labour:
- Work on the fish processing line alongside other staff
- Shovel ice, clean fish, sanitation tasks
- General facility upkeep and physical plant work
This is not a desk-only role. Physical work is a regular part of the job.
What We're Looking For
- Comfortable with physical labour in addition to admin/OHS duties
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Local to Prince Rupert / Port Edward - or fully prepared to self-relocate with housing secured before start date
Preferred (affects pay):
- OHS certification (NCSO, OFA Level 1+, WHMIS, or similar)
- WCB / WorkSafeBC documentation experience
- Background in fish processing, food production, or industrial environments
Compensation & Details
- Pay: $20.00 - $23.00/hr (higher end for verified OHS qualifications)
- Overtime available during peak season (March - December)
- Medical and dental benefits after 6-month probation
