We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Physiotherapist to join our healthcare team on Tuesdays and Thursday from 10-4 pm. The ideal candidate will provide expert patient care, develop personalized treatment plans, and support patients in achieving optimal physical health. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical conditions and mobility limitations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history
- Provide hands-on therapy including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, home exercises, and health maintenance
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and progress notes accurately in medical records
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
Skills
- Valid registration as a Physiotherapist with relevant licensing authorities
- Proven experience in hospital settings with a focus on acute care preferred
- Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical assessment techniques
- Excellent patient care skills with compassionate communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment
- Adaptability to fast-paced clinical environments with diverse patient needs
- Proficiency in documenting clinical information accurately and efficiently
