Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:
Medical Terminology Certificate required and testing done prior to interview (60%). Accurate keyboarding speed of 120 kpm required and testing done prior to interview. Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required. Demonstrated proficiency in the English language, both written and oral required. Ability to organize and prioritize work in order to meet quality and productivity standards and established turnaround times. Attention to detail and accuracy while processing large and fluctuating volumes of work.

Preferred Qualifications:
Post-secondary education applicable to position – MOA/Unit Clerk/Admitting Clerk preferred. One (1) year related experience in a hospital or medical office setting preferred. Experience with applications common to Health Records (eg. Oracle, VAX, Tandem) is an asset.
