Your everyday with us:
Reporting to the Team Leader, New Brunswick Provincial Programs, you will review requests for special authorizations and apply criteria as outlined by the New Brunswick Department of Health and Wellness. Professional and knowledgeable, you will communicate with the public and health professionals on matters relating to the New Brunswick Drug Plans.

As a Special Authorization Analyst, you will have the opportunity to interact on the phone with clients, physicians and other departments. You will achieve a more in-depth knowledge of medication classes and processes involved in coverage.

What you need to succeed:
You provide exceptional customer service– You are personable and professional when interacting with the general public and health professionals
You display great phone etiquette: You answer telephone inquiries from public and health professionals
Whatever it takes attitude, you like a new challenge every day
You have successfully completed a Pharmacy Technician or Assistant program
You have experience working in a community pharmacy for 2 or more years
Your proficient in both official languages would be considered and asset

Key Responsibilities

Review, analyze and process special authorization drug requests as per established guidelines;
Organize work and information to ensure requests are processed accurately and efficiently;
Correspond with beneficiaries and prescribers by fax, telephone or letters;
Adhere to privacy guidelines following proper procedures;
Produce clear and effective written materials;
Support and follow policies defined by the New Brunswick Department of Health;
Adhere to the performance measures under the Service Level Agreement Contract;
Provide operational support to the Provincial Programs as needed.
