Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is essential for ensuring smooth kitchen operations and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a willingness to learn and grow within the food industry.
Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food handling to ensure timely service
- Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks as needed
- Prepare ingredients, wash vegetables, and organize supplies for efficient kitchen workflow
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Help with serving food to customers and clearing tables when required
- Follow proper food safety protocols at all times to ensure health standards are met
- Assist in stocking supplies and managing inventory levels within the kitchen area
Skills
- Experience or familiarity with cooking and food preparation techniques
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards customer service
- Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and kitchen operations
