Hiring for Class 5 Company driver and Owner Operator for 5 ton Truck.
We are seeking a motivated and reliable 5 Ton Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a 5-ton truck to transport goods between warehouses, distribution centers, and customer locations. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy lifting, and customer service will ensure timely deliveries and exceptional service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 5-ton truck to deliver goods to various destinations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of items for transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to maintain safety standards and report any issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any concerns
- Assist with warehouse operations including moving inventory, organizing shipments, and maintaining cleanliness
- Use communication skills to provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and resolve delivery-related issues professionally
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle maintenance records, and other documentation as required
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience operating heavy trucks or similar commercial vehicles
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes
- Experience with forklift operation is preferred; certification is a plus
- Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and customers effectively
- Prior warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding inventory handling procedures
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and cargo transportation
