We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team in a bustling restaurant setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a keen eye for detail.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and storing
- Assist in cooking and preparing various menu items
- Ensure cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Follow proper food handling procedures and maintain food safety standards
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and accurate food preparation
- Help with inventory management and stock rotation
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Understanding of food safety guidelines and procedures
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
Language:
Licence/Certification:
- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
