Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior / Apprentice CNC Machinist to join our team. As a Junior CNC Machinist, you will work under the supervision of experienced machinists and operators to manufacture precision parts and components for various industries. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or further their career in CNC machining.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor CNC machines (milling, lathe, or multi-axis machines) for the production of parts.
- Assist with machine setups, tool changes, and machine calibrations.
- Inspect and measure parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools to ensure they meet specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment.
- Follow detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Assist with troubleshooting and routine machine maintenance.
- Learn and apply safe machining practices and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet production schedules and quality standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some experience or formal training in CNC machining is preferred and considered a plus.
- Strong interest in learning and developing skills in CNC machining.
- Basic understanding of machining principles and blueprint reading.
- Ability to work with precision measuring tools and gauges.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
