Position Summary:
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Financial Accountant will play a key role in financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, and strategic finance initiatives in a publicly traded organization.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the Company’s quarterly grant funding submission process, including preparation, review and submission of supporting financial information, ensuring compliance with program requirements and acting as the primary finance contact for grant-related inquiries, audits and reporting requests.
- Co-lead the Company’s IFRS 18 implementation project, including updates to accounting policies and reporting processes, and successful adoption of the standard.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Support MD&A, audit committee materials, and public company reporting requirements.
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during interim and year-end audits.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting activities.
- Provide financial analysis and support to operational and executive leadership teams.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Pay: $85,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
