Job Description:
The Co-Manufacturing Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and growth of assigned accounts and supporting the Sr. Account Manager resulting in sales growth for our Company. This role involves building strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions to ensure successful production and delivery of co-manufactured food products. The successful candidate will possess an understanding of the food manufacturing process and demonstrate a strong ability to manage complex supply chains, maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and drive business growth.
Key Essential Functions/Duties:
- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for co-manufacturing clients, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Develop and nurture deep, long-term relationships with key customers to understand their business needs and goals.
- Monitor production process, ensuring timelines, and contracts are met.
- Attend business reviews and gather internal metrics specific to Service and Quality.
- Employ a consultative approach to selling focusing on understanding the challenges and offering tailored solutions to meet their needs and add value allowing us to expand business within existing accounts.
- Collaborate with clients to identify new product development opportunities and increase production volumes.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to ensure profitability and growth. Resolve issues and concerns and escalate as necessary.
- Build and maintain strong relationships and collaboration with internal team (Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, and Finance) to ensure alignment to services and quality performance expectations.
- Monitor production schedules, inventory levels, and delivery timelines to ensure on-time delivery of products.
- Address and resolve any production, quality, or supply chain issues that may arise.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure all products meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze sales data, production trends, and market insights to provide accurate forecasts and reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Set and track long-term performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and make date driven decisions.
- Work closely with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure customer forecasts are being met.
- Stay updated with industry trends, food safety regulations, and emerging technologies in food co-manufacturing.
- Provide clients with insights and recommendations to enhance their product offerings and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Advocate for innovative improvement to help customers stay ahead of industry trends and competition.
Education/Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or degree in Food Science, Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in account management, sales, or co-manufacturing within the food industry.
- Proven track record of managing complex accounts, achieving growth goals, and high levels of customer satisfaction
- Strong understanding of the food manufacturing process, quality assurance, and supply chain management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Experience working in co-manufactures or co-packers in the food industry and knowledge of food safety standards preferred.
Pay: $90,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
