Job Duties
As a Journeyperson/4th year apprentice Electrician, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical code specifications
- Perform troubleshooting to identify hazards, defects, and necessary repairs
- Ensure compliance with the Alberta Electrical Code, based on the Canadian Electrical Code as adopted by the province, as well as applicable Occupational Health & Safety regulations
- Work independently or in teams under the supervision of the Owner or Site Supervisor
- Accurately complete required paperwork such as FLHAs, vehicle inspections, time sheets, and work orders
Who We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- Red Seal-certified Journeyman Electrician or a 4th year Apprentice
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract, as the position requires driving a company vehicle
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliability and motivation to deliver high-quality work
- Additional certifications (Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, First Aid, CSTS 2020) are considered an asset
