Job Description:
Based at Toronto Western Hospital Krembil Research Institute, the Hodaie Lab, is a surgical imaging laboratory and part of the Division of Brain Imaging and Behaviour Systems – Neuroscience. Our lab aims to discover and understand the fundamental principles of organization and function of the nervous system in health and disease and to translate this understanding into clinical practice. Our primarily focus is on structural MR imaging in functional neurosurgery, with a special interest in neuropathic pain.

As a key member of the Hodaie lab, your responsibilities will include the following duties:
Maintain a clinical and research database
Assist with the administration of our research studies
Coordinate research ethics board revisions, submissions and annual approvals process
Amend study protocols and consents as required
Support our research team
Interact with research subjects to explain studies, obtain consent and duly maintain necessary study documents
Foster relationships and liaise with nurses, physicians, other members of health care teams, other study coordinators and regulatory personnel to ensure protocol compliance

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:
A post-secondary degree in a science or health-related discipline
Clinical Research training (certificate program or courses) is preferred
1-2 years of experience in clinical research is preferred
Strong computer skills- Word, Excel and Microsoft Access
Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Values patient interaction and enjoys being immersed in the medical environment
