Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and committed to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role involves both food preparation and cooking, ensuring that all dishes meet our standards for taste and presentation.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and various seafood.
- Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Shucking oysters
- Assist in the development of new menu items and special dishes.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and preparation.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is required.
- Knowledge of food handling, food preparation techniques, and kitchen equipment is essential.
- Familiarity with food safety practices within the food industry is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen setting.
- Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
