Overview
We are seeking a talented and customer-focused Kitchen Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for interior design, excellent communication skills, and experience in sales and renovation projects. This role involves working closely with clients to create customized kitchen solutions, utilizing design software, and providing exceptional customer service. The Kitchen Designer will play a key role in driving high-end sales and ensuring client satisfaction through innovative design and professional account management.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget for kitchen renovations or new installations
- Utilize design software such as SketchUp and CAD to create detailed kitchen layouts and visualizations
- Present product demos and design concepts to clients, highlighting features and benefits of various options
- Conduct inside and outside sales activities, including upselling high-end products and accessories
- Manage client accounts from initial consultation through project completion, ensuring seamless communication and service
- Assist customers with POS transactions, cash handling, and merchandising in retail settings when necessary
- Negotiate pricing, project scope, and timelines to secure high-end sales while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Coordinate with renovation and construction teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet quality standards
- Develop marketing strategies to attract new clients and promote services through various channels
- Maintain organizational skills to track project progress, appointments, and client information efficiently
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail or inside sales, outside sales, or customer service roles within the renovation or construction industry preferred
- Proficiency in SketchUp, CAD, POS systems, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to upsell products effectively
- Multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse clientele
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are advantageous
- Knowledge of merchandising, product demos, high-end sales techniques, and marketing strategies preferred
- Experience with renovation projects, construction processes, or interior design is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in account management and project coordination
