Starfish Demolition and Services is a multi-service demolition contractor based in Dartmouth, NS. Primarily removing and disposing of construction demolition. We also do work for healthcare facilities under infection control plans, restoration contractors, cities and municipalities, property management firms and education facilities. Your Responsibilities:
· Dig trenches and excavations manually and using hand tools for demolition and construction projects, including work in wet and tidal environments
· Perform trenching work up to 5 feet deep, including in confined spaces and around historical buildings and restoration sites
· Assist with site preparation activities, including removal of rubble, and debris
· Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment
· Set up and dismantle work areas, including barriers and safety enclosures as required
· Follow all health and safety procedures, including working around heavy equipment
· Maintain clean and organized job sites
· Use and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed boots, hard hats, and headlamps
· Work in various conditions in dusty or noisy environments, and in wet, hot or adverse weather conditions
· Support skilled tradespersons and supervisors in completing construction and demolition tasks efficiently
