Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Cook and/or line cook to join our new restaurant in Cambridge. Wether your are an experienced chef or completely new to Japanese cuisine there is plenty of room for growth and opportunities in our fast growing franchise.The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety standards. Your roll will be to assist the head chef with preparation and making of, ramen, sushi, Katsu, and other various Japanese and Japanese inspired dishes. You will also be tasked with helping maintain a clean work environment. Anyone who is willing to work will be able to become extremely proficient in sushi making and other skills while working with us.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble dishes with precision and attention to detail
- Ensure all food is prepared according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area
- Handle food safely and adhere to proper food handling procedures
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies and ingredients
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service and customer satisfaction
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a sushi chef preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent skills in serving, meal preparation, and food presentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant setting
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of the food industry standards and restaurant operations
- Experience with kitchen equipment used in sushi preparation is a plus
- Passion for culinary arts with an eye for detail and quality
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.97-$22.00 per hour
