AMOT is seeking a self-motivated customer service professional with a strong willingness to learn our technical product line and its applications and a desire to provide our customers with the best solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Answering phones and providing feedback on stocking levels, order status, order tracking, and order entry
Providing alternative products/solutions for out-of-stock items or long lead-time items
Attention to detail; keeping errors below 1% and dropped phone calls below 1%
24-hour turnaround time on customer PO's and entry into ERP system, including answering customer voice mails and emails within in 24 hrs.
Proactively contacting customers and providing status of orders
Providing technical assistance to customers and team members
Participating in Continuous Improvement activities
Education and Experience:
2-3+ years’ experience in a technical Customer Service environment
Some college a plus. Strong computer skills and a good working knowledge of MS Office and an ERP system
Must have technical experience, preferably in auto/truck parts & service or similar products
Ability to use problem solving skills to identify and resolve customer related issues
Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter; able to work autonomously and in a team environment
Excellent attention to detail
Good computer and MS Office skills
Ability to understand and eventually teach technical concepts in an understandable way
Strong willingness to assist other team members with customer-related issues
Demonstrated ability to multi-task
Advanced organizational and conflict resolution skills
Frequent visits to manufacturing department
Safety glasses must be worn in the plant
Limited Travel - to an account within their responsible area
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
