Job description
A Chilliwack Lumber Dry Kiln facility has an immediate opening for a Class 4 Power Engineer. Forklift experience is an asset. Will learn lumber dry kiln operation as well as operate a forklift and participate in other duties as required.
- Must have a valid Class 4 Power Engineer Ticket
- Forklift experience is an asset (preferably min 2 years experience)
- Be flexible and willing to perform multiple duties as required such as lumber tallying, loading/unloading kilns and trucks etc
- Must be able to speak and write in English with a high degree of proficiency as a large part of the job is daily communication to receive written and spoken instructions
- Experience working at a lumber mill is an asset, but not a requirement
- No non-scheduled walk-ins permitted at the plant. We will only consider candidates who respond with resumes via this ad and meet the minimum requirement as stated above

Pay starts at $38/hr for the right candidate.
The job is available "immediately" even though the posting says 1-2 weeks. Training can comments right away.
