URGENTLY HIRING Summer Aide – Grounds Worker
Normally 8-4 Monday to Friday; some weekend work may be required. Daily hours could be flexible between 6 am and 5 pm, 40 hours per week.
Start Date: Immediately
End Date: On or About October 2, 2026
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Previous experience operating a ride-on and push lawn mower, hand weeding, and using a weed whacker
- Previous experience in yard maintenance, including maintaining trees and shrubs.
- Current Class 5 driver’s license
- Ability to handle the specified “Job Demands.”
- Current and acceptable Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
- Valid Emergency First Aid/CPR Certification
- Current WHMIS Certificate
- Steel-toed shoes/boots
Skills: - Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to deal compassionately, patiently, and effectively with vulnerable people.
- Strong team player
- Commitment to Health & Safety procedures
Hourly rate of $21.26 to start as per our CUPE Collective Agreement.
