The Senior Vice President (SVP) Sales is an integral part of the Executive Team for Canada and reports to the President and CEO of Compass Group Canada & ESS North America.

As the Senior Vice President (SVP) Sales, your primary objective will be to maximize Compass' revenue by accomplishing the following:

Working as a key member of Canadian Leadership team to support overall growth of the Canadian business.
Foster and scale a world-class sales culture that is both high-energy and strategically-focused, in a connected, collaborative partnership with global, North American and Canadian organizational leadership.
Demonstrated ability to build and lead a high performance sales organization. Establishes high levels of accountability and performance management.
Evolve and scale the rapidly growing team structure to meet the changing needs of the business.
Recognizes sound market opportunities that exist for Compass Group Canada and ESS North America in all geographic regions while integrating industry and market trends in the development of the business strategies to meet these opportunities.
Responsible for a pipeline of large, multi-national companies and/or highly complex clients within the region.
Establishes and effectively communicate a clear and compelling value proposition to help Compass succeed in its strategic global and regional initiatives. This will rely on building and developing long-term strategic relationships with potential clients and driving innovative, creative and compelling proposals that represent best in class company and industry practices.
Understands the complexity of selling to Fortune 500 organizations and working within a matrix organization to accomplish sales goals and objectives.
Skilled at identifying industry trends and establishing competitive differentiation to manage an effective pricing strategy.
Drive performance and ensure culture of success. Manage relationships, analyze and track key metrics to drive revenue, identify trends and highlight issues in partner and customer needs.
Work with Strategic Account Retention (SAG) to retain key clients.

The successful candidate will be a driven, entrepreneurial and charismatic services sales leader with a strong track record of driving growth in a National, matrixed organization and has previously lead sales and business development efforts for a B2B services company. This person is a strong sales executive, and a collaborative people leader who truly understands sales processes and how to drive profitable revenue growth by engaging with all relevant internal stakeholders and working through others.
15+ years' experience in Strategic Sales Leadership with demonstrated increase of responsibility in sales and sales management; supervising/managing business development, sales or operations with a focus on forming and implementing strategic plans.
Bachelor's degree required (MBA or other advanced degree preferred).
Excellent presentation skills and experience presenting to senior leadership teams, storytelling.
Exceptional business insight and strategic orientation.
Flexible in style and approach to work varying disciplines.
Understands how to lead change and motivate teams within dynamic environments.
Strong people management and leadership to build, coach, inspire and engage a high-performing team.
Ability to inspire performance with sales teams, leads from the front with strong sales performance.
