Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, questions, and product inquiries
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process cash, credit, and digital payments
- Handle cash handling procedures with precision, including giving correct change and balancing registers at shift end
- Provide product demos and upsell items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring products are well-stocked and attractive
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing concerns promptly, resolving issues efficiently, and maintaining a positive attitude
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth checkout flow and customer satisfaction
Skills
- Strong communication skills for clear, friendly interactions with customers and team members
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering roles, especially involving POS systems
- Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Knowledge of merchandising principles to optimize product presentation and store layout
