Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics, will be highly valued. Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient check-in/check-out processes as a dental receptionist
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
- Support the team with inventory management of dental supplies and materials
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and medical terminology
- Experience with dental software platforms such as Epic and Dentrix
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Familiarity with CAD for imaging or modeling purposes is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including children
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training available for qualified candidates
