this role is about so much more than working a cash register. you'll help create a welcoming experience from the moment someone walks through the door, style inspiring displays, share the stories behind the makers we carry, and become part of the heart of our little shop.

what you'll do
- welcome every customer with warmth and genuine conversation
- help customers discover products they'll truly love, whether they're shopping for themselves or someone else
- maintain beautiful, inspiring displays that reflect the francis + meyer experience
- keep the shop clean, organized, and inviting throughout the day
- process purchases accurately using our point of sale system
- unpack, restock, and merchandise new arrivals
- learn about our artists, makers, collections, and products so you can confidently share their stories
- assist with gift wrapping, special orders, and customer inquiries
- support in-store events, seasonal launches, and promotions
- work collaboratively with the team to create an exceptional customer experience every day
we're looking for someone who

- is available to work weekends and occasional evenings
experience
retail experience is an asset, but the right personality matters more than experience. if you're eager to learn, love creating meaningful customer experiences, and are excited to be part of a growing local business, we'll provide the training you need to succeed.
