Reporting to the Manager, Technical Services, the successful applicant will work with a team of highly skilled Graphic and Structural Packaging Designers in a busy manufacturing environment.
Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, on-site
Hours: Monday to Friday, day shift, fulltime
Key Responsibilities:

Adjust layout using computer software and format images to customer specifications.

Ensure accuracy of film and art files.

Monitor raw material levels and replenish, as needed.

Ensure proper handling of chemicals used in the plate making process.

Process raw polymer in the plate making equipment into a printing plate.

Mount polymer plates on the plate carrier (some use of a sewing machine is required).

Ensure equipment is in good working condition with some preventative maintenance/cleaning.

Maintain a neat and clean work environment.
Job Requirements

Minimum education is high school completion.

Education or experience in graphics or prepress would be an asset, but not a requirement.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Proven organizational, time management and prioritization skills.

Detail oriented and adaptable.

Strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Self motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
