Artisan Butcher Shop hiring
At Sebastian & Co, we pride ourselves on quality and service. We're looking for a full-time, skilled butcher or a candidate with a strong culinary background to join our team, primarily based out of our Dundarave location, to help us deliver the best products and customer service in the city.
The successful individual will grow into a dynamic role with the following key responsiblities:
- prepare and cut various types of meat, including beef, pork, lamb and poultry
- ensure the highest quality standards in meat handling and preparation
- maintain cleanliness and organization in the shop
- assist customers with their selections and provide knowledgeable recommendations
- communicating cooking techniques and sharing culinary ideas with customers
- follow safety and health regulations
Qualifications requirements:
- culinary training or experience; previous experience as a butcher (or similar role) is a significant advantage
- strong knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- physical strength involving lifting 50lbs and being on your feet for long periods of time
- passion for food
- eye for perfection
MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS
Heavy lifting and basic shop tasks such as cleaning will be required. Customer interaction plays a key role in this position, so applicants must have a sincere passion for food, a great personality, high standards, and an eye for perfection.
