Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth communication between patients and medical staff, managing appointment scheduling, and maintaining accurate medical records. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical office operations, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of healthcare procedures. Duties
- Greet patients and assist them with check-in procedures efficiently and professionally
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using electronic medical records systems
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information in electronic health records
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, insurance, and follow-up care
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and service delivery
- Manage phone calls, inquiries, and correspondence related to patient care
- Assist with billing processes and insurance documentation as needed
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards
Requirements
- Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting is highly preferred, especially with electronic medical records systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare environment
- Strong office experience demonstrating organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with dental office procedures is a plus but not required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide compassionate patient service
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor with a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
