Small Fab - Fabricator
Fil-Trek Corporation is a leading manufacturer of industrial filtration equipment for customers around the globe. Our products are designed and manufactured at our Cambridge, Ontario facility.
We are currently recruiting for a Small Fab Fabricator to join our production team.
The Small Fab department is responsible for manufacturing the custom stainless steel internal components that are installed inside our pressure vessels and filtration equipment. Every project is different, providing an opportunity to work on a wide variety of custom fabrication projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Fabricate custom stainless steel internals for pressure vessels and filtration equipment.
- TIG weld thin gauge stainless steel, perforated materials, mesh and sheet metal components.
- Roll, fit and fabricate perforated baskets and cylindrical assemblies.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, bills of material and work instructions.
- Build complete assemblies including baskets, strainers, supports, hold-downs and other customer-specific components.
- Perform fitting, grinding, deburring and finishing as required.
- Inspect completed work to ensure dimensional accuracy and workmanship meet Fil-Trek quality standards.
- Work closely with Welding, Fitting, QA and Production to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies, quality procedures and standard operating practices.
Qualifications
- Experience TIG welding stainless steel is required.
- Experience fabricating thin gauge stainless steel components is considered a strong asset.
- Experience working with perforated materials, sheet metal or custom fabrication is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Experience with MIG welding is considered an asset.
- Experience in pressure vessel, food processing, pharmaceutical or custom manufacturing industries is considered an asset.

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
