Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team in the food service and hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in restaurant management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. The Assistant Manager will play a key role in supporting the restaurant’s success through effective team management and operational excellence.
Duties
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and food handling procedures
- Supervise and motivate team members to ensure high-quality food service and customer satisfaction
- Oversee POS systems such as Micros POS for accurate cash handling and order processing
- Lead hiring processes, including interviewing candidates and onboarding new staff members
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in the kitchen and dining areas
- Manage inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and monitor food quality standards
- Provide training and mentorship to team members on hospitality best practices, food industry standards, and customer service excellence
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to enhance guest experience
- Support restaurant management in implementing policies, procedures, and promotional activities
- Assist with scheduling staff shifts to optimize coverage during peak hours
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within the food service or restaurant industry
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms for cash handling and order processing
- Demonstrated leadership skills in team management, interviewing, and training staff
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations applicable to restaurants or hospitality settings
- Previous restaurant management experience preferred; hotel or barista experience is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
