Currently we are looking for a CNC VTL Machinist based in our Mississauga facility.
Ideal candidate must be able to perform the following:
· Setup and operate large CNC (Vertical Turning Lathe)
· Pre-inspection of parts and stock divide to ensure finished part compliance.
· Verify tooling requirements are met in advance of the commencement of each job.
· Modify and edit programs as required.
· Machine critical components to DWG ranging from 30” + to 120” + weighing from 2000 lbs to 20,000 lbs +.
· Perform in-process and final inspection of machined features.
· Use of overhead crane to set up and move components.
· Follow established safety practices and regulation.
Minimum Qualifications:
· 3-5 years experience running a VTL and machining parts larger than 30” in Diameter.
· Ability to read & interpret blueprints, drawings, charts & tables.
· Previous experience working with overhead cranes.
· Knowledge of Fanuc, and Siemens controls.
General Qualifications:
· General machinist certification an asset.
· Strong knowledge of GD&T an asset.
· Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
· Ability to work within tight deadlines and under pressure.
· Motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Willing to work overtime (standard 10 hr. shifts x 5 days).
Location: Mississauga
Salary: $35 + / hour (Based on experienced)
Hours Per Week: 40 hours plus overtime
Overtime: 1.5 after 40 hours
