Want to lead our café team in ensuring efficient operations, high-quality product preparation, and excellent customer service? Maintain compliance with health standards and foster a positive, collaborative work environment? This is your opportunity to join our Food Services team as head barista! The ideal candidate will be an experienced barista and know how to a lead a team in a busy café setting. This is a full-time position, 32-40 hours per week. Weekend availability required, must have scheduling flexibility.
SKILLS + QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent customer service abilities
- Technical expertise with espresso machines
- Technical expertise with POS systems
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
- Food Safe Level 1 certification as asset
DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership & Training: Supervise and train staff; ensure adherence to Co-op policies and health regulations.
- Customer Service: Create a welcoming environment; respond to customer feedback promptly.
- Operations: Oversee café product preparation, inventory management, and signage accuracy; maintain cleanliness and complete opening/closing procedures.
- Product Development: Participate in recipe development and maintain product knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with all internal and external health and safety regulations, as well as employee policies and procedures
- Other duties as required.

Rate: $22.00 - $28.00/hour depending on experience
