Sales Representative – Building Supplies
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Representative to join our growing building supply team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing customer relationships, promoting building materials and flooring products, and driving sales growth across residential and commercial markets. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to provide product recommendations based on project requirements. Experience in building materials, construction, flooring, or related industries is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, designers, property managers, and retail customers.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable building materials, flooring products, mouldings, and related solutions.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase product features, benefits, and applications.
- Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and customer referrals.
- Prepare quotations, process sales orders, and follow up on customer inquiries in a timely manner.
- Upsell and cross-sell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities.
- Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and delivery.
- Maintain merchandising displays and ensure showroom products are well-organized and presented.
- Operate POS systems and manage sales transactions accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by resolving issues and supporting customers throughout the sales process.
- Maintain organized records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project opportunities.
- Stay informed about industry trends, product knowledge, and competitor offerings.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in building materials, flooring, construction supply, hardware, or related sales environments is preferred.
- Proven sales experience with a strong focus on customer service and relationship building.
- Knowledge of flooring products, building materials, mouldings, and construction practices is an asset.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills (English plus Mandarin, Cantonese, Punjabi, or other languages) are highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management, and basic computer applications.
- Strong organizational skills, time management abilities, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license is an asset for visiting job sites and customers.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin/Cantonese.

Warehouse Staff – Building Supplies
Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Staff member to join our growing building supply team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, organizing, and distributing building materials and flooring products while maintaining an efficient and safe warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and committed to providing excellent support to both customers and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
- Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for pickup and delivery.
- Load and unload flooring products, building materials, and related supplies safely.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory control procedures.
- Coordinate stock transfers between warehouse locations as required.
- Assist customers and delivery drivers with order pickups and loading.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or low-stock items.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (if certified).
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Follow company policies and workplace safety regulations.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, logistics, inventory control, or material handling experience preferred.
- Experience in building materials, flooring, construction supplies, or related industries is an asset.
- Forklift certification and experience are considered strong assets.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
