About the Role
As Kitchen Coordinator you will manage daily food distribution in partnership with our catering provider, Real Food for Real Kids. You will ensure the kitchen remains clean, organized, and fully compliant with public health and CCEYA standards, while occasionally stepping in to support classroom ratios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food & Allergy Management: Receive, portion, and distribute meals/snacks to classrooms on schedule. Ensure strict adherence to allergy protocols and safe food distribution.
- Compliance & Logs: Record daily fridge and meal temperatures. Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and daily sanitation logs per Toronto Public Health and CCEYA guidelines.
- Daily Operations: Manage waste disposal and kitchen garbage daily. Keep the Director informed of any maintenance, safety issues, or equipment needs.
- Classroom Support: Supervise children during transitions, indoors/outdoors, and assist in classrooms to support ratios as needed.
What You Bring to the Table
- Experience in food service with a valid Food Handler Certification.
- Strong working knowledge of Toronto Public Health, CCEYA, and Canada’s Food Guide regulations.
- Valid Standard First Aid / CPR Level C and a clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong time management, adaptability, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communication skills and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
