OVITA Construction Ltd. is looking for experienced, and motivated Concrete/Waterproofing Restoration Foremen to join our team on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities as a Superintendent:
- Be responsible for the management of projects including overall site management, site safety and project implementation – this can include hands on labour, quality control and sub-trade management.
- This employee should be able to read basic drawings, project specifications, and maintain and repair various types of structures.
Minimum Qualtifications as a Superintendent:
- A minimum 7 years of concrete and/or waterproofing restoration in a general labourer role and a minimum of 3 years of foreman experience and a solid working knowledge of the specific work that is being performed.
- Interpersonal skills that are required include being driven, having effective communication skills, organizational skills, being respectful, dependable and trustworthy.
- Must have current and valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Excellent command of the English language in both written and oral forms.
- Experience maintaining project safety standards in accordance with OH&S Standards.
- Experience ordering and coordinating the delivery of some job related materials and supplies.
- Responsible for communication and coordination between job site staff, sub contractors, engineers and their representatives.
- Maintain regular communication with management with regular job progress updates.
- Must be friendly, outgoing and personable towards engineers, consultants and clients/owners and their representatives.
- Must be hardworking.

- Concrete Sidewalk and Asphalt work
- Chipping concrete
- Grinding concrete / membranes
- Skid steer operation
- Excavator operation
- Waterproofing installation
- Patching / Parging
- Sandblasting
- Caulking / sealant installation
General Labourer Requirements:
- You must provide CSA approved safety boots and hard hat – we will provide all other job specific PPE.
- Candidates with a G class driver’s license and own transportation are preferred.
- We prefer candidates with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar field, however, we are always happy to train new employees with a positive work ethic and willingness to learn.
We offer highly competitive salaries. Hourly rates will depend on previous experience level.
