Inclusion teacher for Learning Support Services with a special responsibility in elementary. A teacher serves as a guide and facilitator in the journey of knowledge, imparting lessons, fostering critical thinking, and nurturing growth in their students. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Education Degree or equivalent training.

Two years of successful teaching experience in regular programs.

Diploma in Special Education or equivalent with course work in the following areas: learning disabilities, behavior difficulties, mental handicaps, autism and assessment.

Demonstrated ability in effective communication and collaborative/consultative skills

Participation as a member of a collaborative team and consult with school-based, district and outside agency personnel, and parents to assist with:
- integratation into regular classes of learners with low and high incidence special needs
the process of developing and implement Individual Education plans
- identification of appropriate materials and equipment
- inservice regarding integration issues
- modelling and providing information regarding inclusive practices

Or equivalent training, or experience.

PLEASE NOTE
- The starting annual salary for this School Teacher position ranges from $63,347 to $116,190, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
