Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer with experience in installing insulation and drywall on walls and ceilings to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing drywall in residential and commercial projects. This role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently within a team environment. Prior experience in construction, carpentry, and handyman tasks is highly valued to ensure high-quality workmanship and project success.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install drywall panels according to project specifications and blueprints
- Apply insulation materials before drywall installation to ensure energy efficiency
- Finish drywall seams using taping, mudding, sanding, and caulking techniques for a smooth surface
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately execute installation plans
- Perform caulking around joints and fixtures for a clean finish
- Assist with related construction tasks such as framing, painting preparation, or minor carpentry repairs as needed
- Maintain a safe work environment by following safety protocols and properly handling tools and materials
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Skills
- Able to read, speak and write fluently in English
- Proven experience in drywall installation and finishing techniques
- Knowledge of insulation materials and proper application methods
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Carpentry skills, including framing, cutting, and measuring
- Construction painting experience is a plus for finishing touches
- Caulking expertise for sealing joints and fixtures effectively
- Handyman experience is beneficial for versatile task handling
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
