Summer Program Positions
BGC Fort Saskatchewan is a nonprofit organization that has worked with children and youth for 40 years in Fort Saskatchewan. As a summer camp leader, you will spend your days facilitating indoor and outdoor activities, games, and field trips, and could have a chance to see Kananaskis while whitewater rafting with kids or locally making a splash at West Edmonton Mall Waterpark all while teaching social, physical, employability and life skills to kids.
BGC is currently hiring for a variety of full-time summer positions.
Following programs are:
Summer Adventure Guide
· Week-long full-day camps, day trips, overnight away camps and community parks drop in programs
· Youth Employment Programs
· Youth day/evening drop-in programs
· Out of School Program full-day-camps
· Children and youth educational support programs
· Family events
Successful candidates will be highly energetic and sincerely enjoy working with children and youth, be kind, fun, and friendly, responsible, reliable, and enthusiastic. Candidates must be able to adapt to changing plans, have strong problem-solving and positive communication skills as well as be able to role model a positive attitude and strive to build healthy relationships with children and youth and your co-workers to create a positive experience for all.
Must have Criminal Record Check, a Child Intervention Check, and First Aid Certification, and have been enrolled in a variety of human services fields, such as, Child & Youth Care, Early Childhood Education, Social Work and or Education
Lifeguard Certification is an asset.
Rate of Pay: starting at $16.00/hour
Hours of Work: 35 per week
