Casual Administrative Assistant II – Prince Albert

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Employment Services Manager, the Administrative Assistant II will be responsible for ensuring quality clerical support to Gabriel Dumont Institute Training & Employment through effective communication, organization and technical skills. Duties will include but not be limited to: front end reception; clerical support by providing coverage to full-time administrative assistant; responding to and directing public inquiries; help with coordination of meetings; client appointments; handling of confidential information and any other duties assigned by the Employment Services Manager.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of Grade XII. Preference will be given to candidates with a certificate or diploma in Office Education, Office Administration, or business college training. Current post-secondary students with availability on Mondays are welcome to apply. Applicants will have a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with Institute staff and other external agencies; understanding of Métis culture and the employment and training needs of Métis. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other computer skills are essential.
Term: August 3, 2026 to March 31, 2027 (possibility of renewal)
Remuneration: GDI AA 2 wage grid
