Job Summary
Skills Ontario is seeking a Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator to enhance relationships with key stakeholder groups, develop new sponsorships, and increase revenue. This role is responsible for identifying and cultivating new sponsors, supporting fundraising efforts, and assisting in the delivery of Skills Ontario events. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding sponsorship opportunities, ensuring stakeholders and prospective sponsors recognize the value of partnering with Skills Ontario. Additionally, this role includes coordinating committees, outreach programs, and stakeholder engagement initiatives to drive growth and visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Sponsorship & Stakeholder Development:
- Identify, engage, and secure new sponsors to expand Skills Ontario’s revenue base.
- Develop sponsorship proposals and presentations tailored to potential partners.
- Actively participate in networking opportunities to increase sponsor engagement and awareness.
- Marketing & Communications:
- Working with the Manager of Communication to Develop and implement marketing campaigns to attract new stakeholders and sponsors.
- Work with the Communications Manager to create impact-driven materials for outreach.
- Coordinate social media marketing efforts related to sponsor recruitment and promotion.
- Ensure Skills Ontario mobile app is updated with stakeholder content on a consistent basis
- Committee & Stakeholder Coordination:
- Organize and manage stakeholder advisory committees to foster deeper engagement.
- Develop and implement networking and engagement events to strengthen sponsor involvement.
- Event Coordination & Public Engagement:
- Assist in organizing strategic industry roundtables, workshops, and networking events.
- Lead engagement efforts for Career Exploration Showcase and other key events.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create high-impact sponsorship opportunities.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Track sponsor engagement metrics and report on sponsorship revenue growth.
- Analyze data to assess sponsorship outreach effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in stakeholder engagement, sponsorship development, fundraising, event planning, or marketing.
- Technical & Organizational Skills:
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with new sponsors and partners.
- Experience in marketing campaign development and execution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
- Strong project management and event coordination skills.
- Interpersonal & Professional Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Highly detail-oriented and proactive, with a passion for stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to travel for events and meetings as needed.
