Confidential Employer seeking a Parts Advisor to play a key role in supporting our customers in New Glasgow, NS. The position involves assisting customers with parts inquiries, coordinating service appointments, and ensuring smooth operations in the parts and service departments. This is an evening position with a 4 x 10 schedule. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome customers and provide exceptional service for parts and service needs.
- Open Repair orders with accurate and thorough information, including details of the vehicle concerns, to assist with proper diagnosis.
- Advise customers on parts availability, pricing, and compatibility.
- Verify open warranty recalls or campaigns available to the customer.
- Confirm warrant eligibility and process warranty claims.
- Maintain communication with customers throughout the repair process, including customers approval of the repair, an estimated cost and expected time of completion.
- Coordinate and schedule service work orders efficiently.
- Ensure all charges are calculated and posted with accuracy to ensure timely close of Repair Orders.
- Maintain accurate inventory of parts and supplies.
- Receive and ship incoming/outgoing freight
- Look up and locate parts in inventory or order parts from suppliers as per policies.
- Generate quotes and complete orders as per customer requests.
- Assist with inter-branch transfers.
- Assist other staff in the department as needed.
- Follow all policies and procedures as outlined by management
- Maintain a professional appearance and a safe, clean work environment.
- Previous experience in a Dealership atmosphere an asset.

- Previous experience in a dealership atmosphere.
- High degree of product and technical knowledge.
- A team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer.
- Physical ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
- Self-starter and motivated to sell.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Available to work alternating Saturday mornings
- Superior problem-solving skills to achieve win-win solutions.
