About the Opportunity
- Preparing baked goods and desserts according to established standards, procedure, recipes, and menus
- Receiving, storing, and rotating inventory of all required foods and supplies
- Maintaining safety and sanitation in the kitchen to meet legislative and organizational standards
- All other duties as assigned/required
About You
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
- A high-school diploma or GED completion
- Red Seal Baker’s papers from a certified institution considered an asset
- Minimum three (3) years experience in a high-volume bakery or kitchen
- Ability to work a schedule which includes nights and holidays
- Successful candidates will be required to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check, and where applicable, a Vulnerable Sector Check, prior to appointment.
- Current First Aid & CPR is an asset
- Previous experience working with seniors in a retirement living or long-term care environment is considered an asset
