We're looking for people with leadership and organizational skills, and who have experience in professional cleaning.

As a Manager at Waterford Services, you will represent our brand, and uphold our highly regarded standards in janitorial and customer service. You will be an integral part of our Operations team, providing full service management to your assigned accounts, from day-to-day engagement with clients, supervision and training of cleaners, to detailed tracking and reporting on inventory and equipment. You will work to develop and grow the skills of all those who maintain the ever present cleanliness of our buildings. Your primary goal will be to create first and lasting impressions, together with your team. Your role will require polished and finely honed customer service skills, the ability to lead and motivate others, critical thinking, an intimate understanding of smartphone technology, as well as knowledge of cleaning best practices, health & safety, and all company policies. This role will require great schedule flexibility and is ideal for anyone who loves being on the go all the time.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1 or more years working in the janitorial services industry.
  • 1 or more years in a customer service role.
  • 1 or more years leading and supervising others.
  • Highly polished, professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Communicates effectively in written and verbal form.
  • Outgoing personality.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Process driven and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to problem solve and improvise to achieve goals.
  • Intimate understanding of smartphone technology.
  • Willing to be held accountable for goals/results.
  • Adaptability and willingness to do what it takes to achieve goals/results.

Location & Hours of Work:

  • Various buildings in Toronto & GTA
  • “On-the-road” visiting portfolio buildings.
  • Minimum of 40 weekly working hours; must be available 6 days per week in emergencies and to answer emails/phone calls

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Travel between job sites varying in size from 500 sq. ft to 200,000 sq. ft. to perform various activities related to the supervision of cleaning and cleaning personnel.
  • Supervise cleaning personnel
  • Communicate directly and professionally with Clients, and keep Director advised of all communications.
  • Perform regular shadowing and training of all cleaning personnel on cleaning best practices and cleaning technical skills.
  • Perform regular and thorough site inspections.
  • Perform inventory counts and follow order receiving procedures.
  • Resolve cleaning complaints and provide follow-up responses using feedback tracking system.
  • Perform equipment/asset inspections.
  • Manage stock-out and/or equipment failure situations to maintain cleaning services when required.
  • Complete incident intake reports when necessary via app.
  • Meet and discuss every week with Director about ongoing operational issues.
  • Willing to be held accountable for goals/results.
  • Liaise with Staffing Coordinator regarding job postings, applicants, interviews, and hiring.
  • Coordinate health & safety training, either online or in classroom to newly hired personnel.
  • Conduct onboarding training with new personnel.


  • $45,000 - $60,000 depending on qualifications and experience
